We are very saddened at the passing of our beloved Deacon Don Roberts on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. He was a wonderful husband, father, and servant of the Lord, and will be missed by all. A funeral Mass was held Saturday January 14th in St. Peter Church, with celebrant Archbishop Gregory Aymond, and a reception in his honor followed in St. Mary's Hall. Of your charity, we ask you to join us in praying for the repose of his soul and for his loving family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The St. Peter Parish community is devastated with the deaths of our dear friends, Fr. Otis Young, Jr. and Ruth Prats, on November 27, 2022. We are deeply saddened, and ask that you join us in praying for the repose of their souls, as well as for their families.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Fr. Otis had a private prayer that he would say before celebrating the holy sacrifice of the Mass:
"Lord, grant me the grace to celebrate this Mass as if it was my first Mass, as if it was my last Mass, and as if it was my only Mass."
In Ruth's words in a tribute to him at his retirement farewell Mass on June 12, 2022, she said:
"May Fr. Otis' personal prayer become our prayer today and from this day forward when we celebrate Mass. May we pass this prayer down to future generations and to all who enter the doors of St. Peter. It will then be in that prayer that we remember that Father Otis walked in our midst as our pastor and touched our lives profoundly."
A special fund has been set up to assist the families of Fr. Otis and Ruth. If you'd like to contribute, please visit the St. Peter Parish Online Giving page and select "Bereavement Fund - Fr. Otis and Ruth Prats."
