A Catholic parish is where we continue the mission of Jesus Christ. This is where we publicly express our faith, joining together with others to give witness of our communion with God and with one another.
By registering in our parish, you are declaring you are a practicing Catholic (see below) and desire to be a part of our Catholic community. Your registration enables the pastor and staff to get to know you better and helps them better communicate with you.

What Does It Mean To Be A Practicing Catholic?
The Precepts of the Church, as set out in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2042-2043) are as follows:
- Participate in Mass on Sundays, and also on holy days of obligation
- Go to Confession (Sacrament of Reconciliation) at least once a year
- Receive Holy Communion at least once a year, during the Easter Season
- Join in fasting and abstinence during Lent
- Provide for the support of the Church through monetary gifts and/or active service

How Do I Register?
The process is simple and can be accomplished in several ways. We encourage online parish registration, but paper registration is available too.
Paper registration forms can be downloaded below, or picked up in the office during normal business hours, or you can call the office at 985.892.2422 to get one mailed to you.

You can also fill out a "Request Information" card in the back of church and mail it to us or drop it in the collection basket.

What About Children 18 Years of age or older?
Children are considered members with their parents until they turn 18 years old. Once they are 18, it is their own responsibility to attend church and to register as a member independent of their parents.

Are you already a registered St. Peter parishioner and need to update your info?
As a member of the St. Peter Parish family, it is essential that we work with the most accurate and up-to-date information possible so that we can serve you better.
If you are already a registered parishioner with St. Peter Parish and need to update your family information or contact information, you can access your full parishioner records through an online tool called My Own Church.

- Click "New User" to start your account setup
- Select "St. Peter Catholic Church, Covington" as your parish
- Enter a username, a few personal information fields, and an email address.
- St. Peter Parish will verify your account within 3-5 business days and email you a temporary password. When you receive this, you will use it to log in to the website above, change your password, and then you can access your full parishioner records.
