Confirmation is a Sacrament of initiation, conversion, and renewal. The Confirmandi who present themselves for Confirmation become more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit."

Teenagers in the Archdiocese of New Orleans who have been baptized and received the Sacrament of Holy Communion, complete Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation during their Sophomore year (10th grade) of high school, and are confirmed in the fall of their Junior year (11th grade).
If your teenager has not been baptized and/or not received First Holy Communion, please contact the Office of RCIA/RCIC to discuss how they may receive these vital Sacraments of Initiation, by calling 985-898-0346.
