WELCOME!

We extend to you a most sincere welcome as you consider registering with our faith community at St. Peter Church!  Our Parish was established in 1843 and is the oldest Catholic parish on the Northshore in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. 

There are approximately 2,647 registered families in our Parish, with over 70 ministries serving those in our faith community.  We recognize that God has blessed each of us with various gifts that we can offer to a ministry in our community as we strive to build up His kingdom here on earth.  As we work together toward this goal, we encourage Parishioners to serve in one of our many ministries.

We welcome those who are newly registered parishioners in our Parish.  We encourage those who are interested in learning more about St. Peter to contact our church office, 985.892.2422, view our website and prayerfully consider registering to become a member of our faith community. 

The registration process is simple and can be accomplished in several ways:

• Obtain a Welcome pamphlet in the church foyer, fill out the enclosed card, then mail it to St. Peter Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433, or place in the collection basket
• Call the Rectory office, 985.892.2422,  and request that a registration packet be mailed or emailed to you
• Visit the Rectory office at 125 E. 19th Avenue in Covington and obtain the registration packet
• Access the on-line registration link on the website to download and complete the form

Just as we encourage our Parish family members to serve in a ministry, we also ask to be informed of any special needs you may have.  We want you to feel welcome and to know that you are a very important part of our parish mission!
